The jewel of golf in Victoria is the Victoria Country Club, one of
the finest courses in South Texas and home to many Championship
events each year. Originally built by E.L. Grunder as a nine hole
course in 1924, the current eighteen hole layout was redesigned by
Joe Finger. Victoria Country Club has hosted several Texas PGA
Championship events, the ‘94 Texas State Junior Boys, the ’96 and
‘97 PGA Maxfli Junior Championship, the 2000 NCAA Men’s
Regional Tournament, and the Tight Lies Tournament, which is held
annually. The Club also annually hosts two of the oldest amateur
events in Texas, the Tax Time Invitational and Memorial Day Match
Play Invitational Tournaments.
Victoria Country Club is a private country club but allows reciprocal charges with other clubs pending prior
arrangements with the Golf Professional or Club Manager.

The 18-hole Championship course also offers multi-level driving range tee-boxes with target greens, a putting green, chipping green with sandboxes, and a 60 cart fleet. Bag storage and a fully stocked golf shop are also available. Three golf professionals are always on hand for your convenience, hosting junior and adult clinics and private lessons to members. Member and outside tournaments are offered throughout the year. Men’s and Women’s Golf Associations are also available.
