Junior Golf Program

Symbiotic Golf
Summer Junior Golf Camp is open to any junior golfer who is serious about learning and/or bettering their game. Participants will be divided by ability and age. Experienced golfers will be placed in their own groups and will also be given course management lessons.

June 4th - June 7th (Week 1)
July 9th - July 12th (Week 3)
July 30th- Aug 2 (Week 5)

TIME:
Tuesday - Friday, 8:30am - 12:00pm
 
FEE:
$300 - VCC Members
$325 - Non-Members
(*Sibling/Friend Discounts Available)

FULL 3-DAY GOLF CAMP 2024:
June 18th-20th (Week 2)
July 23rd-25th (Week 4)

TIME:
Tuesday - Friday, 8:30 - 2:00

FEE: $325 VCC Members
          $350 Non - Members



WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE:
Any Junior Golfer who is interested in improving their game. Suggested age range from 7-17. Any younger age must be okayed by Renea Martin Cowan, PGA Pro, VCC Director of Instruction (361) 218-7964.

CURRICULUM HALF DAY CAMP:
Tuesday - Short Game, Long Game and Club Eval.  
Wednesday - Short Game, Long Game, On Course  
Thursday - Short Game, Long Game, On Course  
Friday - Fun Tournament Play and Challenge Competition
(Each day the USGA Rules of Golf, Course Etiquette, and Safety will be taught and stressed. Nutrition and Health Awareness)  

CURRICULUM FULL DAY CAMP:
This is a camp for the more experienced junior golfer and it will be structured based on the needs of the players.  We will be playing on the course and learning how to put the swing to use effectively in order to score.  We will work on course management and shot making.  After lunch, the players will keep score as in a tournament situation.  Lunch will be from 1130-12:00 and is included in the cost of the camp.

ITEMS NECESSARY FOR CAMP PARTICIPATION:
Water container well marked, cap or visor, sunscreen, towel that can be wet down for cooling off around neck, mosquito repellent, and any personal necessary items. If the camper has his/her own clubs they should bring them. If not, they will be provided.  

ITEMS TO BE FURNISHED FOR CAMPERS:
Range Balls, Ice Water, Snacks, Tees
