Renea Cowan, Director of Instruction
Renea Cowan will be VCC's newest Director of Instruction. Renea began her career playing on the Futures Tour. She received her Class A PGA Professional classification after three years working at King's Crossing in Corpus Christi, Tx. Her career then took her to Florida where she spearheaded the teaching program and junior golf programs at Deer Creek Golf Club. She started the Symbiotic Golf Academy which brought in students from all over the country and the world. The next challenge came at Royal Palm Yacht and Country Club, a Jack Nicklaus signature course, where she was the Director of Instruction and started a Ladies Golf Association and a very successful junior golf program. She went on to being, at the same time, the tournament director of the Junior Players Tour which was a top caliber junior tour consisting of players such as Brooke Koepka, Billy Hoerschel, Lexi Thompson, Daniel Berger, Morgan Pressel, Jessica Korda and many other future pros. Renea moved back to Victoria, Tx. in 2009 to help her parents and started teaching at Northside Golf Range. She is also a Master Certified Club Fitter, and a Certified Professional Edel Putter Fitter. Renea is looking forward to being a part of the Victoria Country Club team and hopes to be of service to the members. She wants to start some ladies and junior programs as well as help all of the members with their game.
